A current insurance schedule provides a useful snapshot of the existing insurance program. It helps Webber Insurance understand what is presently insured and what may need to be retained or reconsidered.
What can a schedule show? #
Depending on the policy, it may identify:
- Insured business names.
- Policy type and sections.
- Insurance limits and excesses.
- Property values or vehicles.
- Interested parties.
- Insurer and policy dates.
- Retroactive dates or other scheduled conditions.
Why is it useful when obtaining alternatives? #
A policy can contain several sections or extensions that are not obvious from its product name. Reviewing the schedule helps avoid comparing a broad replacement quote with only one part of the existing cover.
Does the schedule replace an application? #
No. It may not reflect current activities, turnover, claims, new exposures or changes since the policy was arranged.
Updated proposal information can still be required.
Should the full wording also be provided? #
The schedule is normally the best starting point. The wording, endorsements or other documents may be required where a particular term, exclusion or benefit needs to be compared.
What if the schedule is unavailable? #
You can still make an enquiry. Provide the information you have and Webber Insurance can confirm what else is required.
