You do not need to be a member of an industry association to access Webber Insurance’s specialist facility for Energy Raters and Thermal Performance Assessors.
We assist both association members and non-members.
What does the facility provide? #
Subject to eligibility and insurer acceptance, the facility can provide:
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Higher Professional Indemnity limits where required
- Public Liability Insurance where required
- Cover for a range of accepted Energy Rating and related professional services
The exact limits, excesses and policy terms depend on the insurance arranged.
Association membership should not be confused with professional accreditation. You must still hold any qualifications, accreditation or authorisation required for the services you perform.
Webber Insurance works with industry associations including:
- Design Matters National
- Building Designers Association of Australia
- Building Design Queensland
- Australian Building Sustainability Association
Members may have access to dedicated application or renewal processes, but membership is not required simply to seek insurance assistance from Webber Insurance.
Not every professional service automatically falls within the Energy Rater facility. Additional activities such as building design, architecture, project management or unrelated consulting should be disclosed.
