Cover Unexpected Legal Issues

What Is Commercial Legal Protection Insurance?

In the unfortunate event of a claim against your business, Commercial Legal Protection Insurance provides you with expert legal assistance and protection from potentially crippling legal costs, regardless of any fault on your part.

This product is designed to be held in addition to your existing commercial insurance policies and is not a substitute for General Liability, Professional Indemnity, Directors and Officers Liability or Management Liability Insurance

Instead, it covers your legal expenses required to defend and pursue possible disputes associated with your core business activities that are not covered under these policies.

Commercial Legal Protection Insurance lowers the financial burden associated with such disputes, by providing access to legal advice and assistance which could inhibit the need for full-scale litigation.

Claims Example

A third party delivered construction materials to the policyholder’s business premises on a wet, stormy day. The materials were left unsecured. Earlier on that day, delicate machinery had also been delivered to the same premises.

The wind caused the construction materials to fall over onto the machinery, causing significant damage. When the third party refused to accept responsibility, the policyholder made a claim. A lawyer was assigned and threatened court proceedings against the third party.

As a result, the policyholder received payment which covered the full amount of the damage and associated legal costs.

“Excellent service and the team are friendly and helpful and respond quickly. Have no issue since I was with them for more than 3 Years.”
