A Certificate of Currency provides evidence that an insurance policy is in force at the date shown on the certificate.
It is not a substitute for the full policy wording and does not confirm every term, condition or exclusion.
When will Webber Insurance release one? #
Webber Insurance releases a Certificate of Currency once the insurance has been finalised and the applicable payment requirements have been satisfied.
Where the premium is paid directly, this generally means payment must have been received.
What if I use Premium Funding? #
Where the premium is being paid through Premium Funding, Webber Insurance waits until we have confirmation that the first scheduled deduction has successfully cleared.
Once that confirmation has been received, we can release the Certificate of Currency.
Certificates of Currency may be requested by clients, principal contractors, councils, landlords, banks, financiers, licensing or registration bodies and other contracting parties.
A Certificate of Currency shows information about the insurance policy, but whether that insurance satisfies a particular contract or other requirement depends on the actual requirement and policy terms.
If someone has provided specific insurance requirements, send them to Webber Insurance for review.
Contact our team if you need a Certificate of Currency or need us to review an insurance requirement.
