Contact Webber Insurance as soon as possible if an insurer denies your claim.
A declined claim does not necessarily mean there are further grounds for cover, but the insurer’s reasons and the relevant policy wording should be reviewed carefully.
We can:
- Review the insurer’s written reasons
- Review the relevant policy wording
- Check the facts relied on by the insurer
- Identify whether relevant information is missing
- Provide additional evidence where appropriate
- Ask the insurer to reconsider its position where there are reasonable grounds
Sometimes a decision changes after further information is provided or a misunderstanding is corrected. In other cases, the insurer’s position may remain unchanged.
What if the denial remains? #
We can assist with a formal complaint through the insurer’s internal dispute resolution process.
AFCA can consider some complaints about denied insurance claims, although eligibility and jurisdiction rules apply and some small-business insurance products are excluded from parts of AFCA’s jurisdiction.
Contact us promptly, particularly where the insurer’s correspondence includes a deadline or other time-sensitive requirement.
