If your home or contents are damaged, contact Webber Insurance as soon as reasonably possible.
This could involve events such as:
- Storm
- Water damage
- Fire
- Theft
- Vandalism
- Accidental damage, where insured
- Other insured events
Your immediate priority should be safety. Contact emergency services where required and take reasonable steps to prevent further damage.
What should I keep? #
Where practical:
- Photos or videos of the damage
- Damaged items until disposal is approved
- Receipts for emergency work
- Temporary accommodation receipts
- Repair quotations
- Purchase receipts or valuations
- Police report details where relevant
Avoid authorising permanent repairs before receiving insurer instructions unless urgent work is reasonably necessary to protect people or property.
The insurer may appoint an assessor, loss adjuster or repairer depending on the type and extent of the claim.
Available cover, including temporary accommodation and other benefits, depends on the individual policy.
